About TrendyMatter

Some stories are everywhere for a day. Some deserve a second look. TrendyMatter covers both.

We are a digital publisher for people who want to know what everyone is talking about, and the story behind it. We cover celebrities, television and film, music, viral moments and the small human stories that spread because they are good.

More than the headline

A trend is usually the end of a longer story. We look for the context: who these people are, what happened before the clip went viral, and what happened after.

What we cover

Our sections map the territory. Celebrities follows the stars, their families and where they are now. TV & Movies covers television, film and what happens behind the camera. Viral Stories collects the clips, posts and human stories that took over the internet. Music looks at songs, artists and the stories behind the hits. Lifestyle covers food, travel, holidays, fashion and everyday life.

How we work

Stories are researched from reputable reporting, official sources, published books and the people involved. Where accounts conflict or a claim is disputed, we say so rather than pick the better tale. Photographs are credited wherever the source is known. Mistakes get fixed in place, and material corrections are noted at the foot of the story. Our full Editorial Policy is public.
